Help Me Name My HOH!

It seems only fitting that now that my blog and I have official names, my husband, J, should have one, too.

He and I have discussed this a bit, and he recently came up with something that we may (or may not) end up going with.

J told me to ask for ideas and suggestions here, so I am being a good, submissive wife  :)

In my last post, I shared J's and my story, so if you haven't already read it, you may want to refer to it to get an idea of who he is (and who we are together)...might be helpful in thinking up an appropriate and fitting name for him.

I have to admit, I like the name he's come up with....made me laugh...but we are both open to taking suggestions.  I think this could be fun!

Here are just a few glimpses into the kind of man he is.....

I love you with all my heart, my knight in shining armor.  Thank you for slaying my dragons.

  1. I am not so good with names! If I had it to do over again, I'd have given myself a name that has more meaning. Instead now I'm stuck with JGirl or Jasonsgirl, which isn't even grammatically correct, and that irks me!

So Sadie means "princess," I looked up the male name for Prince. Seems fitting. Looks like Vladimir or Brendan. Not sure those have the ring you're looking for. :p

    1. Ah, you are fondly known to me as JGirl, which I think is most fitting :)

I didn't even know that 'Sadie' means 'princess'! Thanks for the suggestions....I've passed them along to J :)

  2. If you both like the name the name J came up with, that's probably the right one! But, while reading through your posts a name did pop into my mind. No matter what you decide though, it was fun to contribute. Thanks for asking :) I agree, J does sound like a real knight in shining armor.........Sterling in fact!

    1. So, Queenie......is that a play on words at the end? Is 'Sterling' your suggestion? I like that name, and have passed it on to J. Thank you :)

  3. Well, mine came up with "The Mischief Manager." I'm sure whatever he has come up with is much much less cheesy than that. lol

    1. Oh, Susie, 'Mischief Manager' is not cheesy; I like it!

Actually, the original name J came up with is now off the table....he decided he didn't want to go with it after all.

We're getting closer to the end result, however, and my man shall have a name by week's end!

    1. Thank you for your kind words, Catherine, but J's already decided not to go with his original idea.....he had been half joking, anyway...lol.

It won't be too long, now.........

  5. Mine named himself after a character on Sesame Street, so you probably don't want his input. He's certainly a guy who trusted his heart. I think J has a nice ring to it.

    1. Leah, I only just now discovered your blog! I had assumed since we'd written each other a bit that I had it, but when you mentioned that your husband named himself after a Sesame Street character, I realized I didn't know what it was, and went searching for your blog. Just left you a comment (on your first post). Looking forward to reading Grover's and your story and getting to know you better :)

    1. That's quite a name, Six. You'd think he was royalty having 6 names...lol. Thanks for the suggestion. I believe J's going to stick with one name, but perhaps if he ever starts his own blog (which I've tried encouraging him to do), he may want to consider this title :)

  7. I am NOT going to suggest anything as I have been too 'involved' already...bwahahaa! BUT I will give you a few pointers in choosing. Remember you will be typing it out a LOT. And really it should reflect the man you live with. My husband isn't so fond of Barney...( I know right? ). Also there are quite a few hubbys out there so run the name by a few friends to see how many Alex(s), Jim(s). Micheal(s) Barney(s) are out there. IF that matters to you. There are a LOT of Sara(h)s out there and we manage to keep them straight. Haven't come across another Sadie yet in my travels though.
You know you could just name him Jay. LOL
love willie ( ack I almost signed my 'real' name...see how this is getting me all worked up???..lol)

    1. I was wondering why I hadn't gotten any suggestions from you, Willie....too involved? Pfft. Nonsense. What are friends for?

Well, my hubby has decided on his name......drum roll, please....off to post it right now :)
