An Irish Song & Blessing

I get my Irish roots from my mother, who was the second youngest of 14 children born to my grandparents, who had immigrated from Ireland.  My mom loved to sing, and taught this song to me and my sisters when we were young.  This is truly an oldie but goodie.....dating back to 1927.  To me, it's ageless  :)

Hope you're all having a good day today.  Here's an Irish blessing to take with you...........

  3. I know the song just by the name! Today I was looking for an Irish blessing to put on my facebook wall. I saw, " A watched kettle never boils".. My Dad used to tell me that all the time ( well he said pot). Barney and I were both a bit weepy eyed today missing our Irish parents.
Hope you have a wonderful St. Patty's Day Sadie!

    1. Well, you have enough to make you count as an Irishwoman, Sara, and that's all that matters :)

  6. Hey Sadie...My mom's grandparents on her dad's side were Scots Irish and immigrated from Ireland. This is one of the first songs my grandpa sang to me along with When Irish Eyes are Smiling.

Wishing you a happy St. Patrick's day! ;)

    Hugs and Blessings...
